The Life of Ernest Brian Baudoin

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at an 11:00 AM Service in Our Savior's Church on East Broussard Road in Lafayette for Ernest "Brian" Baudoin, who died at 11:30 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery on Pinhook. Pastor Jacob Aranza will officiate the services. Worship music for the funeral will be provided by his grandchildren, Joseph Aranza and Katherine Baudoin. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ann Louise Baudoin; his sons, Louis Leblanc Baudoin, Ernest Brian Baudoin, Jr. and his wife Robin of Maryland, Aldon Joseph Baudoin and his wife, Dee Baudoin, Jonathon David Baudoin and his wife Tara Baudoin; and his daughters, Anna Louise Lane; Michelle Baudoin Aranza and her husband, Jacob Aranza; Josette Baudoin Comeaux and her husband, Greg Comeaux; 23 grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Stoma and her children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aldon and Mary Baudoin; his mother- and father-in-law, Louis and Sadie Leblanc; his brother-in-law, Philip Stoma; and his son-in-law, Earl “Nick” Lane. A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, Brian was a Godly husband, father, and grandfather and leaves an honorable legacy for his children and grandchildren. A graduate of Cathedral High School in 1952, he served in the military following the Korean conflict. Brian owned Louise’s Real Wood Furniture with his wife for 40 years. He was the President of Full Gospel Businessmen in the 80's and until 2010, he served as leader of Pastoral Care for Our Savior’s Church, where his children knew him as a servant of God. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Pallbearers include grandsons, AJ Baudoin, Ernest Brian Baudoin III, Wesley Aranza, Joseph Aranza; and Greg Comeaux, son-in-law; Brian Barker, grandson-in-law. The family requests that visitation be observed at Our Savior's Church on East Broussard Road in Lafayette on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of services.
