The Life of Rebecca Perkins
Funeral Services will be held at a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Rebecca S. Perkins, 86, who passed away on December 20, 2009 at 6:20AM at Cornerstone Village South.
Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Perkins, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Julius James Stagg, Sr. and the former Lucille Berthelot. She was a member of Holy Cross Church.
She is survived by one son, Harry J. Perkins, Jr. and wife Blynda; three daughters, Linda P. Porter and husband Dr. John Porter, Mary Anne Perkins and Susan P. Goodwin; fourteen grandchildren and several great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry J. Perkins, Sr. and five brothers.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service.
A rosary will be recited on Tuesday 6:00 pm at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette.
