The Life of Peggy Gossen

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at an 11:30 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Peggy Dufour Gossen, 77, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Francis Miller, OFM, of Christ the King Church, will officiate the services. Mrs. Jodi Bollich will sing for the services "Salve Regina", "Ave Maria" and "In Paradisium".Survivors include her beloved husband, Ronald J. Gossen of Lafayette; four daughters, Camille Meagher and her husband, Mike of Baton Rouge, Elizabeth Guidry of Lafayette, Nancy Nehrbass of Erath, and Catherine Nehrbass of Vancouver, WA.; one son Doug Nehrbass and his wife, Jennifer of Lafayette; one step-daughter, Maureen G. Bartlett and her husband, Robert of Jackson, LA.; twelve grandchildren, Kathy Beene and her husband, Stephen, Michelle Breaux and her husband, Brandon E., Michael Meagher, Jr., Derek Nehrbass, Claire Guidry, Grant, Lance and Lauren Vercher, Daniel Guilliot and his wife, Julie, Renee, Bradley and Sarrah Birmingham; five great grandchildren, Caroline, Hannah, and Erin Beene, Braxton Breaux, and Ellie Guilliot; and one brother, Ernest Dufour and his wife, Bea of Youngsville.She was preceded in death by her son, Frederick J. Nehrbass, Jr.; her granddaughter, Amanda Nehrbass; her son-in-law, Steve Guidry; and her parents, Lehman Dufour and Camille Broussard Dufour.Mrs. Gossen was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana.  She was a Graduate of Mount Carmel School in 1947, and went on to attend SLI. Mrs. Gossen''s greatest passion was her devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren   She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.Pallbearers will be Michael Meagher, Jr., Derek Nehrbass, Grant Vercher, Lance Vercher, Daniel Guilliot and Bradley Birmingham.A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 7:00 PM by Brother Fancis Fontenot of De La Salle.The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Gossen''s name to the charity of your choice  Martin & Castille - Lafayette, 337-234-2311
