The Life of Harris Alleman

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at a 10 AM Service in the La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Harris Alleman, age 85, who died at 7:50 PM, Saturday, July 30, 2005 at his residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery. The Reverend Rex Broussard, Pastor of St. Basil Catholic Church will conduct the Funeral Services. Karen Guidry, organist, will sing for the services, Amazing Grace?, JIrai La Vour Un Jour, Ave Maria and On Eagles? Wings. He is survived by his one sister, Alecta A. Breaux of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hebert and Ada Duhon Alleman and one sister, Mathilde O?Brien. A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Mr. Alleman was an avid reader and completely devoted to his family. He was a parishoneer of St. Basil Catholic Church and a member of the V.F.W post 9822 Judice, LA. A Rosary will be prayed Monday 5:00 PM in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services. Pallbearers are Harold Amos, III, Daniel Elsea, Christopher Starling, Michael Starling, Dennis Starling and Richard Breaux. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Amos, Jr., Aaron Elsea, Alexander Autin, Jackson Burnside, Houston Burnside, Landon Breaux, Lauren Breaux, Anna Autin and Avery Autin. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Alleman?s name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503 Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette.337-234-2311.
