The Life of Euna Arceneaux Leger
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Euna Arceneaux Leger, 83, who passed away peacefully on Friday, August 24, 2007 at Maison de Lafayette.Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery in Lafayette.Deacon Jim Davis will officiate the services. Musical selections will be "I Can Only Imagine", "Amazing Grace", "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman", and "Be Not Afraid".Survivors include her beloved husband of 27 years Dennis J. Leger; two daughters Brenda A. Hebert and her fiancee', Phil Simon and Mary Landreneau and her husband, Mark; two sons, Ray Arceneaux and his wife, Kathy and Terry Arceneaux and his wife, Helen; ten grandchildren, Amanda Landry, Amy Dore, Alanna Arceneaux, Holly Hawkins, Brett Arceneaux, Jeanne Benoit, Kevin, Blake, and Derek Landreneau and Michelle Zimmerman; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Hazel Foreman.She was preceded in death by her first husband of 31 years, E.J. "Bud" Arceneaux; one son Paul Arceneaux and her parents, Evelia Leger and Elda Broussard Leger; and her step-father Maurice Simon;.A native of Indian Bayou, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for over 60 years Mrs. Leger was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.Pallbearers will be Kevin Landreneau, Blake Landreneau, Derek Landreneau, Billy Dore, Jr., and Daniel Benoit. Honorary pallbearers will be Brendan Benoit and Tre' Dore.A Rosary will be prayed on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.The family would like to give a special thanks to the Staff at Maison de Lafayette, and Hospice of Acadiana, for their kindness, compassion and gentle care given to Mrs. Leger during her time of need.
