The Life of Myrtle Denais

Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Myrtle Denais, 84, who passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Very Rev. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, JCL, Pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church in Lafayette will be Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette. Mrs. Denais, the daughter of the late Otto J. Blanchet and the former Aline Romero, was a native of Coteau, La. She was a member of AARP and Louisiana State Retiree’s Organization. Survivors include her husband, Aymar Denais, Jr.; one step-daughter, Denise Denais; two grandchildren, Coni Notter and husband, Nick, and Tara Harris and husband, Brett; two step-grandsons, Michael Migues, and Jacques Migues; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Hathaway, and Lauren Harris; one sister, Ruth B. Colomb; two nephews, Colby Colomb and wife, Lisa, and Dr. Keith Colomb and wife, Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Jane Ellen DeRise; and one brother-in-law, Patrick L. Colomb. Pallbearers will be Dr. Keith Colomb, Colby Colomb, Brett Harris, and Michael Migues. Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette is in charge of funeral arrangements.
