The Life of Russell J Bonnet
Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for Russell J. Bonnet, 85, who passed away on June 16, 2010 at 9:35 am at his residence.
Reverend Allen Breaux, Pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Bonnet, a resident of Scott, LA, was the son of the late Leo Bonnet of Lafayette, Louisiana and the former Lifdie Prejean of Carencro, Louisiana. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Eula P. Bonnet of Scott; one step daughter, Nikki Mouton of Dallas, TX; five step sons, Marc Mouton of Abbeville, Robbie Mouton of Youngsville, Ricky Mouton of Abbeville, Kim Mouton of Scott, and Kevin Mouton of Kaplan; one sister, Irene Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; four nieces, Maxine Symes of Lafayette, Barbara Kincannon of Lafayette, Maydee Chiasson of Metairie, and Colleen Begnaud of Paris, France; nephews, Russell Williams of Long Beach, CA, and Allen Bonnet of Lafayette as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Nora Williams and two brothers, John Bonnet, and Alfred Bonnet.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Scott on Friday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Mr. Bonnet to St. Joseph Hospice at 1003 South Hugh Wallis Rd., Suite F2, Lafayette, LA 70508.
