Funeral Service were held Saturday June 6, 2009, 11 am at St. Pius X for Inez Prejean age 90, who pass away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center .

Mrs. Prjean was buried in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette. Fr. Steve LeBlanc celebrated the mass.

Mrs. Prejean was a former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, St Pixus X Catholic Church and was active with her family and her community.

Mrs. Prejean is survived by four sons Jerry Prejean of Lafayette, Dr. Joseph B. Prejean Jr. of Jennings, Dr. Hines A. Prejean of CA, and Thaddeus Prejean of Switzerland; one daughter Ursula Prejean Maddox of Lafayette; brother Elmo Broussard of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of family, friends and relatives.

Preceded in death by husband Joseph Prejean Sr, parents Clarmar and Ida Scranton Broussard and her brothers; Clarence, Carlton, Shefton Broussard her sisters Ethel Broussard Malveaux, Jeanne Broussard Green, Agnes Broussard Lewis and Florence B. Thibeaux.

Visitation was held from 8 am until 10:30 am at Kinchen Funeral Home, 1011 N St Antoine St Lafayette, LA.
