The Life of Lloyd Lucien Comeaux

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Lloyd L. Comeaux, 98, will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. A Native of Maurice and a resident of Lafayette Mr. Comeaux died at 9:45AM on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at a Lafayette Hospital. He proudly served his country in the Pacific Theatre during WWII as a Seebee in the US Navy. He and his brother were the first two from Vermilion Parish to sign up with the Seebee’s. Was also a Member of the VFW and Golden Age Club. He is survived by three sons, Mike Comeaux and his wife Cathy of Delcambre, Patrick Comeaux and his wife Genie of Broussard, and Tony Comeaux and his wife Angela of Arnaudville; two daughters, Cathy Valenzuela and Mike of Grand Junction, CO and Judy Segura of New Iberia; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Maud Vincent Comeaux; parents, Mr and Mrs. Ovey Comeaux; a brother, Walter Comeaux; and three sisters, Irma Comeaux, Leila Lebeauve, and Bernice Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Comeaux, Mike Comeaux, Tony Comeaux, Shane Comeaux, David Comeaux, and Carrol Duhon. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
