The Life of Wallace "Wally" John Badeaux
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Wallace John “Wally” Badeaux, 35, who died on Monday, February 23, 2009 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Steve Horn, Pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate the services. Camille Roy and Jacee Badeaux (nephew), vocalists, accompanied by Debbie Arceneaux, organist, will sing for the services, “Be Not Afraid”, “Amazing Grace”, “Broken Road”.Survivors include his beloved daughter, Holly Michelle Badeaux; two sisters, Margaret “Margo” B. Wiltz and her husband, Ron and Rose “Rosie” B. Miller and her husband, Jed; two brothers, Walter P. Badeaux and his wife, Lana and Jimmy Badeaux and his wife, Vickie; two aunts, Della “Nanny” Benoit and Etda Cormier; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Badeaux and Mayola Trahan Badeaux.A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Mr. Badeaux was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He was employed by Exxon on the run # 8 for over five years and also worked at City Cab for over five years as driver # 82.
Mr. Badeaux loved Mardi Gras in Lafayette and also enjoyed fishing. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching LSU. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his daughter Holly, whom he adored. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Walter Badeaux, Jimmy Badeaux, Jed Miller, Brian “BJ” Wiltz, Kevin Coffey and Shane Viator. Honorary Pallbearers will be Channing Credeur, Kevin Laxey, Eddie Costello, Derrick Moore, Ron Wiltz and a host of friends.A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Mr. Badeaux’s daughter Holly.
