The Life of Elaine Eberhart

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Elaine Vitello Eberhart, 88, who passed away on February 8, 2009 at 2:14 pm at Medical Center of Southwest Lousiana. Reverend Steve Horn, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Eberhart, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Joseph Vitello of Sicily, Italy and the former Jeannette Mazerolle of Abbeville, Louisiana. She worked for the State of Louisiana as a typist and later she advanced to supervisor in The Department of Public Welfare. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Lafayette. She is survived by one daughter, Isabel Wren and husband Charles of Lafayette; one son, Barry LeBaron and wife Diana of Lafayette; one brother, Roland Vitello of Abbeville; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Wren, Melony Culotta, Dawn LeBaron, Charles Wren II, Kristie LeBaron, Andrew Wren, Lucas LeBaron, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.C. Eberhart, four sisters, and two brothers. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 8:00pm and on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of services at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church Vision 71, Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in (Monroe), or Hospice of Acadiana.
