The Life of Mary Nell Teel
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mary Nell Reed Teel, 90, who passed away on February 12, 2011 at 4:49 am at Regency Place in Baton Rouge.
Reverend Stephen Fife, Associate Pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Teel, a resident of Lafayette, having lived in Baton Rouge for the last two years to be close to her children. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Albert Reed of Gilliam, Louisiana and the former Myrtis Hughes of Myrtis, Louisiana. She was an avid bridge player, artist, cook and enjoyed sewing. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Jane Teel Roberts and her husband, Stuart of Baton Rouge; one son, R. Gary Teel and his wife, Patricia McCay of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Leslie Lauren Teel and Lauren Kathryn Teel Roberts; and one sister, Betty Lou Metzger of Banning, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Andrew Teel; one sister, Jane Helen Reed Sherman; and a special cousin, Eunice Barker.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time.
