The Life of Shirley Mae Brooks
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 4, 2010 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Shirley Mae Brooks, 76, who passed away on September 1, 2010 at 8:30 am at her residence.
Reverend Kenneth Mayne, Pastor of St. Theresa the Child Jesus Church, Abbeville, LA, will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Frank A. Jerome, Sr. and the former Mary Stassi.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen Hawkins and husband John of Lafayette; two sons, David Brooks and wife JoAnn of Scott, and Barney Brooks and partner Lee Mascarenhas of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Jennifer Liffmann and husband Eric, and Stephen Hawkins and wife Lisa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Brooks; and one brother, Frank A. Jerome, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until service time in Lafayette.
