The Life of Jennifer Crounse
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Jennifer Theall Crounse,49, who passed away after a courageous battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and who suffered a stroke during treatment.
Reverend Howard Blessing, Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Ms. Crounse was a native of Jennings, Louisiana, grew up in Lafayette and lived in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; Midlothian, Virginia; Appleton, Wisconsin; Florence, South Carolina; and Helsinki, Varkaus and Savonlinna, Finland during her career as an engineer. She worked for General Electric, Ahlstrom-Kamyr, Honeywell, Dean Oliver International, Orion CEM, Inc. Emerson Process Management, Control Dynamics, Inc., and Southern Company.
Jennifer had a zest for life. She was an avid scuba diver and snow skier and had a passion for the outdoors, which she enjoyed with her faithful canine companion "Rainy". Jennifer was a fun loving, charming person who naturally drew people to her and blessed them with her warm spirit and bright smile. She will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched. She is survived by her mother, Doris Landry Theall, her sister, Susan L. Theall, her brother Michael Theall and his wife, Liz, all of Lafayette; her brother Joel Theall and his wife Annmarie of Dallas, TX; her nieces, Mariena Theall, Anjolie Theall and Mackenzie Theall; her nephews, Torrey Frank Theall, Colin Theall, Kevin Theall; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Her father, Francis Avery Theall, Jr., preceded her in death.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Monday, February 2, 2009 from 12 noon until 9 p.m. A rosary will be recited by Tanya Guidry Greenwald at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.Pallbearers will be Joel Theall, Michael Theall, Laris "Bruce" Broussard, Kevin Kemmerly, Kip Bacque, and D.J. Bergeron.
