The Life of Roy Carroll Blaine

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on January 26, 2009 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Roy Carroll Blaine, who passed away on January 24, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Reverend Michael Russo , Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mr. Blaine, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late of Myron Roy ''Cotton'' Blaine, and the former Sally Carroll of Lafayette. Roy was employed by DCI in Lafayette. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving and devoted Wife of 12 years, Katy Bourg Blaine, Daughter Hannah Leslie; Son Heath Ira Henry; Grandmother, Maxie Carroll Lotspeich, Mother, Sally Carroll Blaine; all of Lafayette; Sisters, Linda Blaine Gay and husband Lance of Spring, TX, Lisa Blaine James and husband Michael of Maringouin, LA, Laura Blaine Wiggins and husband J.J. of Youngsville; Nieces and Nephews, Walter Gay; Kendall, Konner, and Kohl James; Lauren, Cameron, and Mackenzie Wiggins; and also his special life long friends, Paul and Judy Citrano, Brian Griffin, Tommy Johnson, and Glen Miller. He was preceded in death by his father, Myron Roy "Cotton" Blaine; One sister, Leslie Marie Blaine; and Father in Law, Macky Bourg. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Monday, January 26, 2009 from 10:00 am until the time of service with a rosary being recited at 1:15 pm. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Cain for his support and guidance during Roy''s illness. Pallbearers will be Brian Griffin, Paul Citrano, Tommy Johnson, Michael James, J.J. Wiggins, and Lance Gay.
