The Life of Claudia Latiolais

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at a 12:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Genevieve Catholic Church for Claudia LeBlanc Latiolais, 99, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles surrounded by her family. Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery. Reverend Monsignor Charles Dubois, Pastor of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Lake Charles, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing for the services, "Ave Maria", "One Bread, One Body", "On Eagles'' Wings", "Here I Am Lord" and "Pie Jesu". Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Boustany and her husband, Joseph and Dorothy Huval and her husband, Harold; ten grandchildren, Ronnie Boustany and his wife, Carol, Susan Durand and her husband, Paul, Christine Collins and her husband, Terry, Charlotte Baudoin and her husband, Steve, David Huval and his wife, Gretta, James Boustany and his wife, Brenda, Kathy Harrell and her husband, Jeff, Edward Boustany and his wife, Tessa, Hubert Huval and his wife, Denise and Claudia Dugas and her husband, Derrick; thirty five great grandchildren; and twenty-four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Telesmar Latiolais; her parents, Donat and Edna Simon LeBlanc; three sisters, Angelle Duplin, Olita Leger and Agnes Bourque; and three brothers, Alton LeBlanc, Claude LeBlanc, Sr. and Aaron LeBlanc. A native of Scott, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Latiolais was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed sewing and hand sewed and donated over 3,000 dresses for school children in Haiti as well as sewed over 100 wedding dresses for the Haitians. Mrs. Latiolais was an entrepreneur, very motivated and extremely charitable during her life. She loved gardening, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends at "The Lot". Mrs. Latiolais will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Boustany, James Boustany, Edward Boustany, David Huval, Hubert Huval and Claude LeBlanc, Jr. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
