The Life of George Thomas Courquet
Lafayette - Funeral Services for George Thomas Courquet, 88, will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville with Father Hampton Davis officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, Monday, January 4, 2010 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
A resident of Lafayette, Mr. Courquet passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at a local Lafayette hospital. Mr. Courquet was a retired Supervisor with BellSouth of twenty five years.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary A. Henderson, Florence Russell, Mary A. Courquet and Virginia Bryant all of Lafayette; two brothers, Frank J. Courquet of Biloxi, MS and Paul J. Courquet of Hessmer, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysse J. Courquet and Alice Thomassee Courquet; and a sister, Evelyn Bourgeois.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cliff Henderson, Robert Henderson, Bryan Henderson, Richard Henderson, Charlie Bourgeois and Steele Russell.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be James Bourgeois and Alexander Russell.
