The Life of Terry James Benoit
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Carencro for Terry J. Benoit, age 61, who passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at his residence in Mire.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.
Mr. Benoit was a native of Duson and a resident of Lafayette for forty-five years until returning to Duson in 2005. He was employed with Central Industrial for eighteen years as a truck driver using the CB Handle of Blue Boy. Mr. Benoit will be sadly missed by all his relatives and friends.
Survivors include his wife of thirty nine years, Stella Hulin Benoit, of Mire; his mother the former Stuna Credeur; one son, Craig James Benoit of Lafayette; one daughter, Debbie Benoit Adams of Lafayette; one step daughter, Elizabeth Touchet and her companion, Kevin, of Carencro; six grandchildren, Seth Montet, Ashley Montet, Rocky Touchet, Jade Adams, Gage Benoit and Fallon Benoit; one step grandson, Shane Touchet; one great grandchild, Madisyn Guilbeau; one step great grandchild, Ayden Touchet; three brothers, John Wayne Benoit and his wife, Cherell, of Breaux Bridge, Ronnie Benoit of Lafayette and Larry Credeur and his companion, Mindy, of Milton; three brothers-in-law, John Stanley Hulin of Youngsville, Harry Hulin and his wife, Reneé, of Sunset and Kenneth Paul Dugas of Lafayette; one sister, Sandra Benoit Soileau and her husband, Robert Dale, of Carencro; and one sister-in-law, Mildred "Minnie" Baudoin and her husband, James Oran, of Maurice.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Benoit.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
