The Life of Jane Temple

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Lafayette Memorial Park for Jane M. Temple, 86, who died peacefully on June 30, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.

Ms. Temple was a US Navy WWII veteran, having served in San Diego, California, as a hospital apprentice first class. She taught elementary school in Richland, Washington, and sold real estate for Biggins, Shore and Guierra in PA. She volunteered for various organizations including the Green House Senior Citizens in Lafayette, LA, the Vita program which taught people how to read, LCD unit in Norris Town, PA, she helped the elderly with the IRS in Lafayette, LA., was President of the League of Women''s Voters in Lafayette, LA, and in many other organizations as she moved around the country. She was also a committee Woman in Lower Providence, PA.

She is survived by her son, David H. Temple; daughter, Jamie E. Temple; grandson, Joseph D. Amodeo of Morgantown, PA; sister, Elizabeth Maguire, as well as other family members residing in Richland Washington and her loving dog, Shadow.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Gene H. Temple and her parents, Milton J. Maguire and Grace S. Maguire.

She was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was loyal to her community and was a remarkable artist. Her goal was to try and make the world a more beautiful place. She will be truly missed.
