The Life of Sidney Cormier
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2010 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Sidney Cormier, 82, who passed away on August 31, 2010 at 5:25 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Samuel Blaylock, Pastor of Northside Baptist Church, will be the officiant and will conduct the funeral services.
Entombment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Cormier, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Armand Cormier of Jennings, Louisiana and the former Amanda Hanks of Jennings, Louisiana. He was employed as an independent sales representative for Midland Building Materials and Foundation Steel & Wire Inc. Mr. Cormier was an ordained minister and a member of Northside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lily Mae Cormier of Lafayette; three daughters, Karen Faye Sonnier and husband Michael of Lafayette, Doralene Letulier and husband Tommy of Lafayette, and Lisa Gayle Mouton and husband Will of Kaplan; three sons, Dennis Dale Cormier and wife Helen of Lafayette, Rodrick Hardy Cormier and wife Glenda of Little Elm, TX, and Scott Christopher Cormier and wife Leah of Scott; 10 grandchildren, Christine Owers, Amanda Richard, Michelle Hoffpauir, Brandon Letulier, Rachael Person, Seth Mouton, Sydney Mouton, Denise Nicole Hoss, Kimberly Ann Sneed, and Lane Cormier; 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Hebert of Jennings, Viola LeGros of Jennings; 1 brother, Charles Cormier of Jennings.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; one grandson, Shane Louis Letulier; 2 sisters, Mable Hebert, Bernice St. Germaine, 1 brother, Abbie Cormier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and will continue on Thursday from 10:00 am until service time.
