The Life of John Arnold Breaux
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for John Breaux, age 53, who passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette. The Rev. Derek Richard, pastor of Real Hope Christian Church, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Breaux was a native of Duson and a resident of Carencro. He was a Post Firearms and Training Specialist at the Lafayette Parish Training Center having worked for the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s office for twenty years. Mr. Breaux also was an instructor for the Hunter''s Education Program. He previously worked for Frank''s Casing Crew in Lafayette.
Survivors include his mother, the former Gail Comeaux of Duson; his wife, Cynthia Breaux, of Carencro; two sons, Kevin Breaux, who is stationed in Iraq having been deployed with the U.S. National Guard, and his wife, Joelle, and Christopher Breaux all of Lafayette; two step-sons, Tony Stelly Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Lafayette and Dustin Stelly of Carencro; six grandchildren, Shallon Breaux, Jackson Breaux, Noah Breaux, Bailey Breaux, Haven Harrison and one on the way, Noah Stelly; five brothers, Wayne Breaux of Port Allen, Kenneth Breaux and his wife, Linda, of Duson, Shannon Breaux of Breaux Bridge, David Breaux and his wife, Melissa, of Scott, and Todd Breaux and his wife, Joyce, of Duson; and one sister, Lisa Ducharme and her husband, Brian, of Milton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Breaux; and one brother, Timothy Breaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Breaux, Christopher Breaux, Kenneth Breaux, David Breaux, Brian Ducharme and Paul Heath, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Stelly, Jr., Dustin Stelly, Warren Heath and Kenneth Miller.
