The Life of Robert George Barras
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at a 3:30 PM Service at La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Robert G. Barras, 85, who passed away peacefully on July 9, 2007 at Maison de Lafayette in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend John De Leeuw will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include his nephew, Jimmy Barras and other nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Barras and Celima Roy Barras; five brothers and five sisters.A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for all of his life, Mr. Barras worked for PHI for 32 years.A Rosary will be prayed Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 6:30 PM at Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services at Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
