The Life of Ouida Marie Stelly
Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Ouida Marie Stelly, 83, who passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at her residence.
Reverend Cyprien Eze, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Stelly, a native of Erath and a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Leopold Geoffroy and the former Lucille Frederick both of Vermilion Parish. Ouida retired from Sears after 30 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling and helping others.
Survivors include two sisters, Maudrey LeBlanc and husband, Albert S. of Baton Rouge and Isabelle Richard of Lafayette; and two brothers, J.P. Geoffroy and wife, Mildred of Erath and Leo Paul Geoffroy of Erath.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sabray Stelly; and two sisters, Sophie Lee and Nella Romero.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Sunday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and continue Monday from 8:00 am until time of service.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be James LeBlanc, Grady Geoffroy, Nelson Geoffroy, Allen Richard, George Romero and Wilton Primeaux.
