The Life of Jennie Anne Granger
Funeral Services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Jennie Thomas Granger, 82, who went to see God on May 9, 2010.
Reverend Darren James Eldridge, Pastor of St. Mathilda Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Granger, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Claude Thomas of St. Martinville, Louisiana and the former Levie Hebert of New Iberia, Louisiana.
She is survived by four daughters, Jane Granger of Lafayette, LA, Jude Grabert and her husband Paul of Houston, TX, Mary Fontenot and her husband Darrell of Tarrytown, NY, Anne Hare and her husband Kent of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Thomas Granger and his wife Kristal of Topeka, KS; five grandchildren who affectionately called her "Yum", Jonathan Grabert of Austin, TX, Alexa, Olivia and Brennan Granger of Topeka, KS and Tristan Hare of Natchitoches, LA; two brothers, Otis "Noonie" Thomas of Lafayette, LA and Leo Thomas and his wife Philo of St. Martinville, LA; two sisters-in-law, Velma G. Gondron and Doris G. Prados of Loreauville, LA; and one brother-in-law, Alfred "Ben" Granger of New Iberia, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ronald J. Granger; her parents, Claude and Levie Thomas; one sister, Bernice T. Signorelli; two brothers, Albert Thomas and C.J. "Chook" Thomas.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 10:00 am until time of services.
