The Life of Dorothy Louise Hebert

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church for Dorothy Benoit Hebert, 81, who passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Pastor of Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Tommy Duhon and Holly Hebert. Giftbearers will be Christine Brosky and Suzanne Revere. Survivors include one son, Wayne Hebert and his wife, Melodye of Lafayette, LA.; two grandchildren, Holly Hebert and Jason Hebert; four great grandchildren, Caroline Hebert, Camille Hebert, Cathryn Hebert and Eli Hebert; and one sister, Vesta Broussard.She was preceded in death by her husband, Mozar Hebert; her parents, Koussooth and Sarah Baudoin Benoit; three brothers, Valex Benoit, Linus Benoit and Willis Benoit; and three sisters, Anna Lee Montet, Mary Broussard and Ethel Duhon.A native of Youngsville, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Hebert was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home''s Downtown Location.The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
