The Life of Jeffry Joseph Fournet
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Jeffry Joseph Fournet, 56, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at his residence in Lafayette.
Reverend Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church in Duson, will conduct the memorial service.
Survivors include his loving companion, Brenda B. Snelson; parents, James J. and Priscilla Guidry Fournet; one brother, Mike Fournet and his wife Tannia; one niece, Angela Fournet; and one nephew, Timothy Fournet.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Fournet and Doug Fournet and one sister, Jamie Thibodeaux.
Jeffry Fournet was a lifelong resident of Lafayette and self employed with his brother, Mike, as a carpenter. He loved to scuba dive, sail, fish and hunt and was an avid pool player. Jeffry Fournet will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Lafayette location on Saturday from 12:00 PM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to Hospice of Acadiana or to a Cancer Society of choice in Jeffry''s name.
