The Life of Ryan Robert Guilbeau

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at a 3:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Ryan Robert Guilbeau, 11 Months, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, surrounded by his family. Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery. Reverend Michael J. Russo, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Ryan''s Godparents, Todd Bourque and Sherry Moore. Survivors include his parents, Mark and Allison Moore Guilbeau; his twin sister, Grace Anne Louise Guilbeau; his maternal grandparents, Stephen R. Moore, Jr. and Linda Forstall Moore; his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Loula Guilbeau; his aunts and uncles, Sherry Moore, Laura and David Pruett, Lisa and Solomon LaRochelle, Marie and Todd Bourque, Theresa and Raymond Garcia, David and April Guilbeau, Paul Guilbeau and Tim and Amber Guilbeau; and thirteen cousins. Pallbearers will be David Guilbeau, Paul Guilbeau, Tim Guilbeau and David Hohorst. Little Ryan entered the world on April 15, 2010 along with his twin sister Grace Anne. They were born in Boston, MA due to Ryan’s severe heart defects. He was operated on within a few days of his birth and spent over half of his short, precious life in hospitals. In his brief stay with us Ryan served and will continue to serve as an inspiration to many. He made a profound impact in the lives of so many family members and friends. His mom and dad, Allison and Mark honor him with their courage, strength and grace. The family wishes to thank the amazing healers at both Children’s Hospital in Boston and Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, especially, Dr. Roger Breitbart, Dr. Michael Brumund and Dr. Sitram Emani. The family would also like to thank Ryan''s caregivers, Jamie Touchet and Benita Lavergne for their kindness and gentle care given to Ryan and his family during their time of need. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN Location. The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ryan’s name to Children''s Hospital of Boston, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston MA. 02115 or the Louisiana Pediatric Cardiology Foundation, donations may be made online at www.LPCF.com.
