The Life of Mr. Ray Thomas Domengeaux
Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Ray Thomas Domengeaux, 74, who passed away on August 2, 2011 at 8:10 pm at Carpentar House, St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge.
Reverend Monsignor Charles Mallet will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Entombment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Domengeaux, a resident of Walker, LA, was the son of the late Adam Roy Domengeaux, Sr. of Lafayette, Louisiana and the former Irene Mallet of Jeanerette, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Lafayette and U.L.L., formerly S.L.I., where he received his B.S. in Education. Later, he worked for Rheem Manufacturing Co. as the District Sales Manager in the ArkLaTex area.
He is survived by his wife Sue Jane Bagley Domengeaux; one daughter, Monique Higginbotham and husband William of Scott, LA; two grandchildren, Kathryn Rider and husband Michael of Houston, TX and Christopher Higginbotham; one great granddaughter, Vivienne Anna Rider; one sister, Janice Huter of Lafayette, LA; step daughter, Sunny Ortego of Baton Rouge, LA and former wife JoAnna Fountain of Lafayette, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Adam Roy Domengeaux, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8:00 am until the time of services.
