The Life of Lois Simon Durio

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 19, 2005 at a 4:00 PM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Lois   Mother   Durio, age 87, the former Lois Mixon, who died at 6:20 AM Friday, June 17, 2005 at Lafayette General Medical Center.     Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.      The Reverend Jeff Ables, Senior Pastor of Bethel Assemblies of God Church will conduct the Funeral Services.      Survivors include three daughters, Charlene Reeves Louvierre of  Lafayette, Linda Reeves Waters and her husband, Larry of Garland, Texas and Wanda Harris of Sorrento, Louisiana; one son, Hank Harris of Ava, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren; one sister, Nell Martin of Fernwood, Mississippi and one brother, Lloyd Mixon of McComb, Mississippi.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Durio; her parents, Theodore Ernest and Eva Sarah Harrington Mixon and four sisters.      Mrs. Durio was a native of Columbia, Mississippi and a resident of Lafayette for fifty one years.       She enjoyed traveling and was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.        The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of service.        Pallbearers are Wayne Forgason, Michael Forgason, Jonathon Forgason, Keene Guidry, Stephen Broussard and John Schultz.        Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette.337-234-2311.
