The Life of Claire Ruth Koch
Funeral services will be held at an 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Claire LeBlanc Koch, 86, who passed away on December 1, 2008 at 5:20 am at her residence.
Reverend Monsignor Charles Mallet will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Koch, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Simon Ernest LeBlanc of Erath, Louisiana and the former Louise LeBlanc of the Bayou Tigre Community, Louisiana. Claire began her career at the office of Lafayette School of Aeronautics. She was co-founder of Southern Tile Co., Inc. in 1947 where she worked until retiring in 1984. Claire was a member of the St. Jules Catholic Community and long standing member of the Lafayette Garden Club. She was talented in her needlework and her baking.
She is survived by her husband, William A. Koch, Jr.; three daughters and their husbands, Karla Theall and Donald, Claire Hines and Michael and Kristina Suire and Ricky; three sons, Mark Koch, Neil Koch and his wife, Penny and Stefan Koch and his wife, Kathryn; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rita Dutt and her husband, Donnie.
She will be dearly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Eric Koch; and one sister, Elsie Wyatt.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and resume on Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of service at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette.
A rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 5:00 pm in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Stefan Koch, Mark Koch, Neil Koch, Jessie Koch, Benjamin Theall and Justin Suire. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Koch, Spencer Theall, Ricky Suire and Michael Hines.
Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Mrs. Koch to St. Joseph Hospice, 1003 Hugh Wallis Road, Suite E-4, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508.
