The Life of Dawn Nicole West
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville, for Dawn West, 34, who passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Lafayette. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette. The Reverend Darren Eldridge of St. Edmond's Roman Catholic Church will officiate at the services. Dawn was a native and resident of Lafayette Parish. Survivors include her children, Alexis and Tyler West; Parents, Jerel and Lynn West; and Grandmother, Bernice Simon. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Jesse Simon, Jacke West, and Marie West. Pallbearers will be Jacke West, Rayford Simon, Kirk Zabolio, David Zabolio, Michael Pressnell, Damion LeBlanc. Her parents and children would like to give special thanks to Dawn's extended family for their support and help with Dawn during her illness. We would also like to thank Dr. Giles Fort and the 6W staff at Women's Hospital in Baton Rouge for the great care that was given to Dawn. We also thank Dr. Debra Johnson and the excellent staff of 5 Central at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for their loving and compassionate care given Dawn in her final days. The family request that visiting hours be observed Wednesday April 23rd from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.
