The Life of Walter Lester Chriceol

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 9, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Walter L. Chriceol, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Deacon Frank Cormier of St. Edmond's Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery. Mr. Chriceol, son of the late Henry Chriceol of Baskin, Louisiana and the former Alice Brown of Eolla, Louisiana, was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. He was a member of the Knights Of Columbus and an usher at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He is survived by wife of 65 years, Margaret Pierret Chriceol of Lafayette; one daughter, Charlene C. Gow and her husband, Jones of Houston, Texas; four sons, Wayne Chriceol, Ronnie Chriceol, Art Chriceol and Randy Chriceol all of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Henry Chriceol; and two sisters, Lucille Austin and Lola Sandifer. He was preceded in death by his his parents and one sister, Lessie Mae Tarver. The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Mr. Walter Chriceol to the charity of your choice. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
