The Life of Edward Michael Simon
Funeral services for Edward Micheal Simon will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, July 16,2006 at 1:00 PM with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, July15,2006 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Sunday July, 16,2006 from 8:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Simon a native of Opelousas died Thursday July 13,2006 at 6:00 AM at his residence. Mr. Simon was a Marine Corp veteran having served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his mother, Nolia Fontenot Simon of Youngsville, his wife Freida Gautreaux Simon of Youngsville, two sons, Joseph Simon and his companion Carolyn Kane of Lafayette, Chad and his wife Stacey Simon of Carbondale, Colorado; three sisters, Rita and her husband Terry Wright of Manvil, Texas, Rebecca and her husband Clifton Trahan of Youngsville, Karen and her husband David Sanders of Apex, North Carolina, a granddaughter Millie Simon of Carbondale, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Simon was preceded in death by his father Henry Edward Simon. Pallbearers will be Chad Simon Joey Simon, Clifton Trahan, Dean Gautreaux, Greg Gautreaux and David Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Garrett Sonnier, Casey Jones, Kenneth Fontenot and Kevin Atlikhani. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.
