The Life of Mrs. Fanella Barrilleaux
Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at St. Mary Church for Nella Barrilleaux, 85, who passed away on September 24, 2011 at 11:52 am at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Barrilleaux, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Ernest D. Price and the former Theresa Blanchard. She was a member of St. Mary Church. Nella graduated from Mount Carmel of New Iberia. She married Bernette G. Barrilleaux in 1949. Nella enjoyed time with her family, playing duplicate bridge, gardening, visiting with friends, working jigsaw puzzles with her good friend Kinney Neff, and spending time with Marty and Buttons (great-grand dogs).
She is survived by two daughters, Joelyn Credeur and husband Jimmy of Lafayette, LA, and Janell Barrilleaux and husband Allen Tygesen of Seattle, WA; three sons, Bernie Barrilleaux and wife Roxanne of Lake Charles, LA, Barry Barrilleaux and wife Maryanne of Trophy Club, TX, and Boyd Barrilleaux and wife Terry of Singapore; eleven grandchildren, Lani Credeur Pillarella and husband Michael, Jamie Credeur, Danielle, Adam and Brittany Barrilleaux, Bernie and Kendal Bergman, Austin and Garrison Barrilleaux, Alice and Laurie Barrilleaux; two great grandchildren, Jacob Pillarella and Josh Barrilleaux and one sister, Margie Broussard of New Iberia, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, B.G. Barrilleaux, and three brothers, Espy, Earl, and Joe Price.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at the funeral home at 6:00 pm.
