The Life of Thomas Bernard Domingue
Thomas Bernard Domingue passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2008 just hours shy of his 70th birthday. He was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on December 7, 1938. After graduating from Lafayette High School, he went on to graduate from University of Southwestern Louisiana. He completed basic training for the U.S. Marines and served 6 years as a reservist. On August 24, 1963, he married Judith Ann Grapes. He was employed by Audubon Insurance from 1965 until retiring 32 years later. He loved hunting and fishing with a passion.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. René Domingue; his siblings, Mary Nell Domingue, John Domingue and Laura Domingue; his children, Thomas Domingue, II, Timothy Domingue and his wife, Cheryl Domingue and Tammy Domingue; his grandchildren, Drew Domingue, Erin Domingue, René Domingue, Kelly LeBlanc and her husband, Briston LeBlanc and Brock Adamson; his great grandchildren, Lauren Hebert, Caleb Hebert and Karoline LeBlanc; as well as numerous other family members. He was blessed to have a special relationship with Sharon Durio these last few years as well; as well as his two Hospice "Angels", Stephanie Bailey and Kim Chaisson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Grapes Domingue; his father, René Domingue; his brother, Jackie Domingue; and his grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. René Domingue, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bernard.
The family requests that visiting hours be held from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette.
A rosary will be recited at 10:30 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Care of Louisiana, 302 La Rue France, Suite 200, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508.
