Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Sunday, June 5, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Patricia Ruth Hulin, 76, who passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 at her residence. Reverend Wayne Jenkins will officiate the services. Ramona Carmichael, a family friend for many years, will sing hymns selected by the family that celebrate Mrs. Hulin''s personal lifetime relationship with Jesus Christ. Interment will take place in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery. Mrs. Hulin, a native of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Adam Dugas and the former Evangeline Guilbeaux. A loving Christian wife and mother who enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family, she will be remembered as a perfect mother, the example of what every mother should be. Her life edified 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 known as the "Love Chapter" of the Bible. She was known by few and loved by all. She had the gift of undying love and forgiveness, patience and kindness. She was our solid rock, built on a Christian foundation. Her faith never faltered, failed or yielded to self. She lived for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her family. She loved all of her children the same, never showing favoritism. She was a selfless Christian wife, mother and friend. She was generous beyond measure and a true best friend. She was ready to meet the Lord and see her husband again. God honored her faith by granting her last days request of not letting her suffer too long, but rather a quick departure. Our Matriarch is now with Jesus and will be deeply missed. Our comfort is in knowing that we will be with her again one day. She is survived by her five daughters, Roxanne Hulin Duhon and her husband, Mike, Phyllis Hulin Pelletier and her husband Mark all of Broussard; Lisa Hulin Breaux and her husband Leonard of Lafayette, Kathryn Hulin Guidry and her husband, Colonel Mike Guidry of Niceville, FL, Julie Hulin Babin and her husband, Ben, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Rebel Keith Bowman, Randy Keith Bowman, Jr., Adam Pelletier, Lindsay Breaux, Lucas Breaux, Leah Guidry, Rachel Guidry, Josie Babin, Kane Babin; five great grandchildren, Karly and Kassidy Bowman, Levi and Jacob Bowman, and Evangeline Pelletier. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lucien Hulin, Jr.; her sister, Nell Rose Dugas Benoit and her brother, Edmond Earl Dugas. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and continue Sunday from 8:00 am to service.
