The Life of Joyce Guilbeau

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery for Joyce Jones Guilbeau, 70, who passed away on May 20, 2009 at 2:35 AM at Camelot of Broussard.

Reverend Keith Landry, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, will conduct the graveside services.

Mrs. Guilbeau, a resident of Broussard, LA, was the daughter of the late A. D. Jones of El Paso, TX and Pearl Harris of Midland, TX. She enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved very much ,fishing, bowling, playing dominos, gardening, going to the casino and was an avid fan of the Houston Astros and the New Orleans Saints. She and her husband, Willis, also enjoyed dealing in antiques and operated several flea markets in the Lafayette area. The family would like to thank Bobby and the staff at Camelot of Broussard for their excellent care and kindness shown to Miss Joyce during her stay.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Bernard and Gerri McMillan both of Broussard, LA; one son, Gary Guilbeau and wife Michelle of Maurice, LA; six grandchildren, Justin McMillan and wife Paige of Phoenix, AZ, Eric Bernard of Houston, TX, Rianne Millikin and husband Mike of Houston, TX, Melissa Stutes, and Shannon and Leah Vice; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Sue and Mary Lou; one brother, Robert Dale Jones and his wife Barbara of Graham, TX.

She was preceded in death by her her husband, Willis Guilbeau; her parents and one brother.

Delhomme Funeral Home,1011 Bertrand Drive, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
