The Life of Robert Neil Miller
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at a 10:00 AM Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Robert Neil Miller, 62, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Garden View Assisted Living in Lafayette.Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Ron Breaux, Pastor of The Church of Acts, will officiate the services.Survivors include his children, Mark Miller of Oakdale, Judy Miller of Lafayette, Beth Milam and her husband, Eric of Carencro, Sam Miller and his wife, Jamie of Arnaudville, Stephen Miller and his wife Cynthia of Carencro, Phillip M.G. Miller of Lafayette, and Jennifer Miller of Lafayette; one brother, Frank Miller and his wife, Gloria of Duson; the mother of his children Betty Miller; and his grandchildren, Chris, Stephanie, Danielle, Courtney, Donald, Cameron, Taelor, Morgyn, Emilee, Bobbi Jo, Ariel, and Hayden.He was preceeded in death by his parents, Joseph M.G. Miller and Effie Reed Miller; A native of Scott, Louisiana and resident of Lafayette for most of his life Mr. Miller was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He served his country proudly as a member of the United States Air Force, where he served in the Vietnam War. He was also employed as an auxillary police officer for the city of Bunkie, Louisiana. Mr. Miller loved spending time with family and friends, and also enjoyed being a Pastor. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.Pallbearers will be Sam Miller, Stephen Miller, Phillip Miller, Eric Milam, Chris Miller, and Kevin Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilbert Darby, John Simar, and Donald Ducote.A Rosary will be prayed on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.Visitation will be observed on Monday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
