The Life of Lula LeBlanc

Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian on Friday, August 29, 2008 at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Lula Boullion Pepper LeBlanc, 97, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Reverend Monsignor Harry Benefiel will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.

Mrs. LeBlanc, a long time resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Louis Boullion of Acadia Parish and the former Olivia Royer of Franklin. Lula will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grand mother, great grandmother and great-great grand mother.

She is survived by two sons, Milton Pepper and his wife, Wilda of Scott and James Pepper and his wife, Ida of Gretna; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchldren; one son-in-law, Hank Barrios of Houma; and one step-daughter, Anna Mae "Nanoon" Faucheaux and her husband, Shelton of Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Louis Pepper; her second husband, Soline LeBlanc; one daughter, Joyce Barrios; two grandsons, Fred Pepper and Kenneth Pepper; step-son, Curtis LeBlanc and his wife, Verlin; seven sisters, Vivian Bertrand, Ada Credeur, Louise Roy, Eda Beard, Theresa Cradeur, Leta LeJeune and Carrie Sensat; and three brothers, Davis Boullion, Camille Boullion and Roy Boullion.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue on Friday from 8:00 am until time of services.

Pallbearers will be Keith Pepper, Randall Leonpacher, Russell Fontenot, Ronald Schexnayder, Jeff Richoux and Daniel Mollere. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Blanchard and Eugene Faucheaux.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
