The Life of Amedee Antoine Terrebonne Jr.

Funeral services will be held at a 1:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 10, 2008 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for Amedee ''Buddy'' Terrebonne, Jr., 83, who passed away Thursday, November 06, 2008 at The Heart Hospital of Lafayette.

Reverend Keith Landry, Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Buddy, a resident of Broussard, LA, was the son of the late Amedee Antoine Terrebonne, Sr. of Grand Isle, LA and the former Tymir Broussard of Golden Meadow, LA. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church; was the owner and operator of Buddy''s Superette in Broussard and he and his wife, Thelma were members of the Creole Camping Club of Delcambre.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served bravely with the Third Army under General George S. Patton, Sr., particpated in the liberation of Dachau Concentration Camp, and other areas throughout Europe during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Thelma Richard Terrebonne of Broussard; one daughter, Lady Terrebonne of Broussard; two sisters-in-law, Leola Broussard of Lake Charles and Cecile Richard of Abbeville; one step-brother-in-law, Joseph Leroy Bodoin and his wife Shirley of Broussard and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Irene Terrebonne and Malinzie "Toot" Roy; two brothers, Lynwood and Norman Terrebonne.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7 pm and will continue on Monday at 8:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Errol Cheramie, Christopher Cheramie, Scott Robin, Gabe Daigle, Troy Daigle and Glenn Dubois.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Amedee ''Buddy'' Terrebonne, Jr. to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 111 North Washington Street Broussard, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
