The Life of Lucy Irene Goodson
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006 at a 10:00 AM service in La Chapelle de Martin and Castile for Lucy Irene Goodson, age 63, who died Tuesday, February 28, 2006at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Mandeville, La. after a courageous battle with Guillain Barre Syndrome.Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.Reverend Larry Wilkes, Rector of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, will officiate the service.Survivors include her brother, William Wesley Goodson, III, her daughters, Bessann Hebert Watson, Aleis Hebert Tusa, and Victoria Hebert Gischel, her son, Sgt. Richard Joseph Hebert, Jr., her sons in law, Gary Watson, Jay Tusa, and Greg Gischel, and her daughter in law, Deborah Hebert.She was most devoted to her two grandchildren, William Joseph Hebert Tusa and Katherine Olivia Hebert Tusa.She was the beloved daughter of the late William Wesley Goodson, Jr. and the late JohnseyAldridge Goodson.A longtime resident of Lafayette, La., she had most recently resided at Hertiage Manor in Mandeville,La.A constant friend and giver, Lucy will be remembered with everlasting love and caring by her family.The family requests visiting hours be observed on Thursday, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM andon Friday from 8:00 AM until the service time.Pallbearers will be Gary Watson, Jay Tusa, Greg Gischel, Richard Hebert, Charlie Goodson, and Joe Goodson.
