The Life of Daisy Mae Gary
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in the Delhomme Funeral Home of Maurice for Daisy Mae Gary, 81, who passed away on July 5, 2010 at 8:45PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Chaplain Paul Broussard will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Gary, a resident of Youngsville, LA, was the daughter of the late Hebrard Trahan of Lafayette Parish, Louisiana and the former Leonida Touchet of Iberia Parish, Louisiana. Mrs. Gary worked for Begneaud's Pharmacy for 44 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She is going to join her loving husband of 62 years..
She is survived by two sons, Paul Keith Gary and his wife Kathy of Youngsville and Robert W. Gary and his wife Phyllis; four grandchildren, Mason Paul Gary and companion Jessica, Giles Keith Gary and companion Missy, Amanda Louise Gary and Nikki Renee Gary; one sister-in-law Jean Loigon of New Iberia as well as several nieces and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hebrard Trahan and Leonide Trahan and her husband of 62 years, Paul U. Gary; and one brother, Purphy Trahan.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Maurice on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until the time of services. in Maurice.
Memorial contributions can be made in the name of Mrs. Gary to Heart of Hospice, 201 West Vermillion Street, Lafayette, La 70501.
Pallbearers will be Mason, Amanda, Giles and Nikki Gary her grandchildren, her three nephews, Jonathan Beaugh, Albert Trahan and Mitch O'Connor and her "adopted" son Wayne Johnson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes 3rd Floor east and Heart of Hospice for all their support through this difficult time.
