The Life of Donato Miccalongo
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Donato Miccalongo, 79 who died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Reverend John deLeeuw will officiate.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Miccalongo, a native of Castellana, Italy, was the son of the late Piero Miccalongo and the former Angelena Labata. He came to America in 1969. He established his business here as a tailor and retired here in 1995. He still has many friends who were his faithful customers and keep in touch. He loved the game of golf and played until his health began to fail several years ago.
Survivors include his wife the former, Joyce Womack Miccalongo of Lafayette; step-daughter, Claire Blanchet of Houston, step son, Kenneth Blanchet of Houston, and numerous nieces and nephews in Italy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and three brothers.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday from 10:00 am to time of services.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
