The Life of Douglas Paul Baudoin
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Douglas Paul Baudoin, 46, who died Sunday, July 27, 2008 in an automobile accident.
Reverend Monsignor Keith J. Derouen, Pastor of the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist, will officiate.
Interment will take place in Holy Mary, Mother of God Cemetery.
Doug, a native of Lafayette, was the son of Roland Baudoin and the former, Beulah Pellerin. He had been residing in Abbeville. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a construction foreman who subcontracted under 1Q1 out of the Port of Iberia.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Martha C. Baudoin of Abbeville, his daughter, Elisa Baudoin of Abbeville, his parents, and his faithful dog, Paco; three brothers, Chris Baudoin and his companion, Shelly of Texas, Craig Baudoin and his wife Annette of St. Martinville, Jody Baudoin and his wife Ann of Abbeville; five sisters, Cathy Langlinais and her husband, Perry, Jenny Miller and her husband, Marshall, Judy Baudoin, Lorraine Baudoin and her companion Randy Gilbert all of Lafayette, and Andrea Gibson and her husband Richard of Stone Ridge, NY; his mother-in-law, Guadalupe Ramirez; and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ulysse and Eve Baudoin and his maternal grandparents, Walter and Amiee Pellerin and his father-in-law, Luis Ramirez.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Wednesday, from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm and continue Thursday from 8:00 am to time of services.
A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Craig Baudoin, Luis Ramirez, Mark Baudoin, Ryan Cazares, Mitchell Navarre and Cesar Cazares. Honorary pallbearers will include Michael Champagne, Jr. and Tory Langlinais.
