The Life of Fannie Josephine Matthews
Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette for Fannie J. Matthews, 88, who passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.The Reverend Jacob Aranza of Our Savior''s Church, will conduct the services.Mrs. Fannie Matthews was a second grade teacher at Green T. Lindon Elementary School in Youngsville for 23 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all and will be dearly missed.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dewitt Matthews, Sr.; and one brother, Claude Williams.She is survived by one sister, Juanita Meyers; three sons, Dewitt Matthews, Jr., Donald Matthews and Wayne Matthews; one daughter, Jo Ann Matthews Keintz; seven grandchildren; and, eight great grandchildren.
