The Life of Flora Jean Tucker
Mrs. Flora Jean Tucker, age 79, of Dallas, Texas passed away July 9, 2008. She was born October 3, 1928, in Hicksbaugh, Texas to Walter Allen and Bessie Lou (Lewis) Phillips. On June 5, 1948, she married Richard Thorp Tucker in Beaumont, Texas. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Frisco, Texas. She is survived by her sons, Randy Tucker of Dallas, Texas and Rick Tucker of Kingsland, Texas; grandchildren, Ricky Tucker, Tisha Tucker Costales, Brian Smith and Simone Halpin; sisters, Bessie Louise Helmke of Nederland, Texas and Wilda Hughes of Houston, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2008, at St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church in Frisco with Rev. Seth Kellerman officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco. A graveside service will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette, Louisiana.
