The Life of Nora Lee Tomlin
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Nora Lee Tomlin, 88, of Lafayette, LA who passed into the loving arms of Jesus on June 24, 2008. One of his most beloved angels is now in His flock.
Reverend Chris Blanchard, Pastor of the Church of the Covenant, will officiate.
Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Nora Lee Tomlin, the daughter of the late William W. Conrad and the former, Nora Lee Partridge (who died during Nora''s birth) was born February 13, 1920 and was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee by Laurie F. Pratt and Della C. Pratt. She met the love of her life there and married Vance in October of 1940. She was completely devoted to family and friends and was a lifelong member of P.E.O., in which she held many offices over the years including presidency on more than one occasion. Her life was highlighted by the birth of her children and in raising them to be kind and loving men, an absolute reflection of her gentle, caring personality. Everyone who knew her came to love her. God truly gave her the magnificent ability to brighten the lives of those she met. She will always live in our memories and inspire us as she did in life.
Left behind to cherish her memory is Vance, her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, along with her four sons, Vance, Jr., Bob, Billy and wife, Elaine, and Rick and wife Bonnie. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Casey, Derek, Robbie, Crystal, Megan, Brinden, Adam and Brittany; four great grandchildren, Vance Tomlin, III, Tara Tomlin, Scott Lee, Jr., and Aydan Lee.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The family asks that in lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
