The Life of Annie Mae Aucoin

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008, at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Annie Mae Hebert Aucoin, 95, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Camelot of Broussard.Entombment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Mausoleum.Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen, Rector of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Giftbearers will be Ronald LeBouef and Joyce Toups. Lector will be Sandra LeBouef. Survivors include two sisters, Emerite LeBouef of Lafayette and Girlie Hebert of Abbeville; one brother, Clarence Hebert of Abbeville; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Simon D. ?C.D.? Aucoin; parents, Eloi and Anastasia Hebert; one brother, Clement Hebert; and three sisters, Irma Guilbeaux, Agnes David and Inez Primeaux.A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Annie Mae Hebert Aucoin, was a retired owner of Aucoin's Grocery on Orange Street in Lafayette, which she operated with her husband. She was an excellent baker and enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. Mrs. Aucoin was a loving person and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Pallbearers will be Ronald LeBouef, Blake LeBouef, Darrell Hebert, Chris Hebert, Shannon Luquette and Mike Cleveland.A Rosary will be prayed by Brother Francis Fontenot, BCC on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 6:30 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette.The family requests that visitation be observed on Sunday from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
