The Life of Elizabeth Virginia Miciotto
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 3:30PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Elizabeth Virginia (Beesey) Muller Miciotto, 80, who passed away at 3:00 P.M., March 22, 2008 at her home with her family.Reverend Annie Bates, Assistant Rector of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Lafayette will officiate.Beesey is a native of Iota, Louisiana and has been a resident of Lafayette for 64 years. She graduated from Iota High School and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette (S.L.I.) in 1948. She was married to the late Charles Marvin Miciotto for 52 years who passed away in 2000.She was a former member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, Krewe of Attakapa, Townhouse, International Good Neighbor Council, and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lafayette. She is survived by three children, Charlotte Gwynn Miciotto, Charles William (Binks) Miciotto married to Susan Reinach Miciotto, Melanie Elizabeth (Mitzi) Gardner Married to Dennis Paul Gardner .She has five grand children: Kristen Miciotto, Buck Miciotto, married to Crystal Zane Miciotto ,Kate Miciotto, Paul Gardner, and Charles Gardner, married to Leah Theriot Gardner. Two great grand children, Kylie Rhyan Ka''iulani Miciotto and Benjamin Charles Gardner, born 3/21/08.She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Marvin Miciotto, her parents, Wilhelm Emil and Eula Cart Muller, one brother, Wilhelm (Billy) E. Muller, Jr. and one sister, Mrs. Juanita Muller Durio.She loved cooking and was a fabulous cook, enjoyed needlework, taking care of her family as well as others and traveling. Pallbearers are Buck Miciotto, Paul Gardner, Charles Gardner, Robin Richard, Floyd J. Breaux and Marshall Guidry.Internment shall be at Holy Mary Mother Of God cemetary.In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations may be made to Miles Perret Cancer Services at 2130 Kaliste Saloom Road, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70508.A special thanks to Dr. Paulette Blanchet, Dr. Bahman Daneshfar, Dr. David Autin, and the fabulous Terry Lindon.The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until time of service.
