The Life of Clemens George Broussard

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 29, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Clemens George Broussard, 76, who passed away peacefully at residence on Saturday, November 22, 2008 after a long illness. Deacon Butch Hebert will conduct the funeral services. Interment will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mr. Broussard, a resident of Breaux Bridge, was the son of the late Adolph Broussard and the former Margart Cole both of Breaux Bridge. After serving in the Korean War, he worked for Lafayette Woodworks as a Cabinet Builder and Lafco as a boat builder and Owned Pete''s Welding and Boat Repair in Lafayette. He loved hunting and fishing and raise cattle. He also loved farming his land and enjoyed working with his hands. He was also a past persident and member of the Lafayette Boat Club. He is survived by one daughter, Elaine B. Benoit and her husband, George of Scott; one son, Carl J. Broussard of Breaux Bridge; two step-grandchildren, Keith and Kent Benoit; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Deborah Ann Broussard; two brothers, Woodrow "Tuck" Wilson Broussard and James Broussard; and one sister, Louella "Lou" Miller.  Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette is in charge of funeral arrangements.
